Delete your account

In-app deletion (preferred)

1. Sign in to the account you want to delete in the Kavy app or website.
2. Open account settings → Delete account
3. Review the deletion notice and choose Delete account. Enter your password if requested.
4. Type DELETE and select Delete account permanently. If asked to sign in again, return afterward to confirm deletion.
5. Wait for confirmation that your account was deleted. If the result is uncertain, choose Check account status.

By email

If you cannot access the app, send a deletion request from the email address registered on your account to hello@kavy.app. We confirm within 1 business day and complete the deletion within 7 days (usually same-day).

What is deleted

• Email address (scrubbed to a generated placeholder)
• Display name and profile
• Sign-in credentials (Google / Apple link, password hash)
• Notification preferences and push tokens
• Private author-chat sessions, messages, and saved conversation memories

What is retained

Some content stays so the public reading history remains consistent:

• For comments linked to the deleted account, we erase the text and moderation details from active records and remove associated report, author-response and generation-job records. Empty internal references may remain. Previously published episode images and copies held outside Kavy are not automatically changed or erased.
• Ink balances, receipts, and purchase records remain linked to the internal account ID for reconciliation. Deletion does not itself refund purchases or erase these records.

Refunds and unused Ink

For Ink purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play, request refunds through the original store. For eligibility and the full policy, see Terms of Service §13 .
